Gathering Again

The bottom ruffle required gathering. The instructions have you gather the three different pieces seperately. I struggled with that immensely and could not get the pieces to look uniform. My solution was to take all of that out, the seam ripper is my new BFF, and sew one gathering line through all three pieces. That allowed me to get a more uniform look along the bottom. I know there is a gathering foot I can buy but I do think sometimes it is better to learn how to do it so you somewhat know what is going on.
